Cradle Of Filth Fan Fined For Shirt
Saturday October 29, 2005
According to Metal Hammer and several British newspapers, a 19 year old was fined $71 and sentenced to community service for wearing a Cradle Of Filth t-shirt. He was reportedly convicted under new British anti-hate laws which ban people from displaying religiously insulting signs. He was arrested after a woman complained to police when she saw his shirt, which shows a picture of a nun in a pornographic pose. On the back is a comment about Jesus. Apparently they don't have the First Amendment in the UK. The shirt may be offensive to some, but is it a crime?

! Heh, you gotta admit, that shirt got christians pretty PO’ed about the shirt but frankly, I agree with Dylan, they should be able to wear the tops BUT they better be careful of what they wear. Metal is a way of life and we should keep it that way. If you have a friend who wears that t-shirt just say wear it at party’s or around the house, cos the last thing they want is a fine on their hands.
LONG LIVE C.O.F.
their problem with the shirt isn’t the guy’s beliefs, it’s that the shirt says c**t on it.
