Voivod Drummer Keeping Studio Blog

Voivod drummer Michel "Away" Langevin has started work on drum tracks for the band's forthcoming studio album with producer Glen Robinson. He started a blog about the studio work that includes studio updates, tidbits and photos.

This is the first album in the band’s career that will not feature founding guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour working alongside his band members in the studio. D’Amour died Aug. 26th, 2005 from complications of advanced colon cancer.

The band utilized all of the guitar parts that "Piggy" had recorded for the record on his laptop with ProTools before his death. The yet untitled album is due sometime later in 2006.
