Def Leppard - Yeah! Review

Saturday June 3, 2006
It's been several years in the making, but Def Leppard likes to take their time recording albums. Their latest effort consists of all cover songs from the 1970's. There are a few glam rock songs originally done by groups like T. Rex and David Bowie. There are also more traditional rock songs like "Rock On" (David Essex) and "Don't Believe A Word" (Thin Lizzy). Def Leppard's versions are reasonably close to the originals, but with that distinctive Def Leppard sound. Most of the songs will be unfamiliar to younger listeners especially, but all in all they do a solid job.
