All That Remains - The Fall Of Ideals Review

Tuesday July 11, 2006
All That Remains have broadened their style and on this album you'll hear everything from thrash to death metal to traditional metal to metalcore. The songs have tons of melody and memorable riffs, but also gallop along at maximum intensity. The dual guitars shine with crunchy leads, intricate interplay and creative solos.

This band has some real talent. I just can’t take the “singing.” I mean, there is trace evidence that their is vocal talent in there, we just rarely hear it. The drummer is awesome, and the guitarists can lick em like a cat. But again, I won’t be listening because I got enough of cookie monster when I was in grade school. This guy sounds like he’s taking a crap after some bad chile. If it weren’t for the music, I would proabably break out laughing.

Dude Joey Jordison never did drumming duties for All That Remains, and Phil Labonte is not Randy Blythe’s brother…
Stop making up these things!
Anyway All That Remains rocks!!!

kash man:

Shannon Costa Lucas and Jason Costa are not drummers from Slipknot.

Look at their names: (LoG) Randy Blythe and (ATR) Phil Labonte; they are not brothers.

Its fine if you like ATR, but don’t be giving wrong informations just to prove nothing but what you like.

YappaDappa doesn’t like the singing because its not his style and that is that.

For me, This Darkened Heart and The Fall of Ideals is ATR’s best albums made yet. Too bad Overcome completely split from their original style, but I hope their next album brings back their Metalcore fusion of Death and Black metal vocal and kickass riffs.
