Alabama Thunderpussy - Open Fire Review

Thursday March 8, 2007
Alabama Thunderpussy has had quite a few lineup changes during their decade long career. After just one album with the band, vocalist Johnny Weils departs, and his replacement is former Exhorder and Floodgate vocalist Kyle Thomas.

Open Fire shows Alabama Thunderpussy hasn't lost a step, and their brand of southern soaked metal is better than ever. You'll get the usual distorted stoner style guitar riffs, but the songs are really catchy. They are gritty and grungy, but also packed full of hooks that won't stop. It's a great combination of metal intensity and hard rock grooves and melodies.
