1998 was a big year for traditional and power metal. Many of the artists in that year's top 10 fall into those genres. There were a couple more extreme acts that made the list as well, such as Death and Nile. The first two are absolutely right. Cradle of Filth should have made the list. Check Labyrinth – Return to Heaven denied for another fine addition to the power metal albums of that time. Wait, didn’t System of a Down debut?
Nice posts, I agree with many of your top picks. The only one I am not crazy about is Hammerfall, but I have never been into them. Cradle should have been in there to replace them,lol.
