A public memorial service for Ronnie James Dio will be held on Sunday, May 30th at 2:00 PM at The Hall Of Liberty located at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive in Los Angeles. This will be a celebration of the life and music of Ronnie James Dio and is open to all of his friends and fans from around the world.
Wendy Dio has asked that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Ronnie James Dio "Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund." Ways to donate and the mailing address can be found at Dio's official site. The fund is committed to the early detection and prevention of cancer through facilitating access to medical screening and medical educational programs. The fund supports programs designed to integrate medical knowledge into local communities such as cancer screening programs, education on nutrition in cancer prevention, exercise and overall wellness.
The infamous Westboro Baptist Church, the group that has protested funerals of soldiers and other public figures, has announced plans to picket Dio's funeral. 
In response to this, Wendy Dio said, "Ronnie hates prejudice and violence! We need to turn the other cheek on these people that only know how to hate someone they didn't know. We only know how to love someone we know!"
