The songs on The Frozen Tears Of Angels are painstakingly arranged with layers of symphonic, neo-classical instruments alongside soaring vocals and guitars. After a spoken word intro from actor Christopher Lee, "Dark Frozen World + Sea Of Fate" begins with classical/cinematic choral vocals, then the guitars kick in. "Reign Of Terror" packs a powerful punch, and has a few harsh vocals alongside Fabio Lione's melodic singing.
"Danza di Fuoco e Ghiaccio" begins with another spoken word intro from Lee, and is a folky number with flutes, acoustic guitars and Italian lyrics. It's an interesting change of pace, and is positioned perfectly about halfway through the album. The ballad "Lost In Cold Dreams" is nothing special, and "On The Way To Ainor" begins slowly before the tempo ramps back up. Things end on a strong note with the epic 11 minute title track.
