Iwrestledabearonce Interview

The full-length debut from Iwrestledabearonce was released about a year ago. They've just reissued a deluxe version of It's All Happening, which includes the original CD, a remix disc and a DVD. I caught up with vocalist Krysta Cameron at the Charlotte stop of Warped Tour, and because of space/noise issues, conducted the interview in the bathroom of the press trailer. As Cameron sat on the toilet (lid closed of course) sipping a cup of tea, we talked about Warped, the status of the band's next album, her musical beginnings and other topics.

Chad Bowar: This is your first Warped tour, and you've only been on for a couple of days. But so far, how is the experience?
Krysta Cameron: It's very fun, very hot, but we're dealing with it. We've been through worse, and the fact that we're doing this together is a big thing for all of us. It's weird not seeing your band all day. They are all off doing things, seeing bands.

Do you have a timetable for your next studio album?
We've started writing bits and pieces, and when we're off for a month after Warped Tour, we're going to start trying to get a new song done for the headlining tour. We plan to go in and record this winter. We won't tour this winter, and use the time to record and write. We'll hopefully have a late spring/early summer 2011 release date.
