The Official Heavy Metal Book Of Lists

Backbeat Books
Eric Danville’s The Official Book Of Heavy Metal Lists is the perfect book for bathroom reading, and I mean that as a compliment. It’s chock fill of a wide variety of lists about many different aspects of heavy metal. You can dive in anyplace in the book and find something entertaining. It’s a quick and fun read.

The Official Book Of Heavy Metal Lists is divided into sections such as Drugs and Alcohol, Violence, Obscenity and On The Road, with several lists on each topic. In addition to lists by the author, heavy metal musicians such as Richard Christy (Iced Earth), Kittie, Oderus Urungus (Gwar), Ken Susi (Unearth) and Phil Campbell (Motorhead) contribute their lists to the book.

The type of list in the book ranges from educational (100 Instrumental Metal Acts) to sad (9 Metal Suicides) to sexy (10 Smoking Hot Heavy Metal Video Vixens) to interesting (17 Metalhead Stage Names And How They Got Them) to disgusting (10 Sickest Things To Ever Happen At A Gwar Show) to funny (10 Things Ronnie James Dio Is Older Than).

The Official Book Of Heavy Metal Lists is a great conversation starter and has a list for most any genre, gender and style of metal. From Lemmy’s intro to Ted Nugent By The Numbers it’s a fun and interesting collection of metal minutia, history and stories.
