Deadly Sins is a concept album based on Mahatma Gandhi's seven deadly sins, which he said would destroy us. They are wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, commerce without morality, science without humanity, worship without sacrifice and politics without principle. Seven Witches do a nice job of constructing lyrics around these concepts that are thoughtful and intelligent.
It's a diverse album of straight ahead heavy metal with songs ranging from ballads to melodic and groovy medium tempo tracks to fast and aggressive songs. With any Seven Witches album you expect top-notch guitar work from Frost, and he delivers with great riffs and some really creative solos. Overall, Deadly Sins is more intense than last year's Amped.
Tecchio has a strong and powerful voice, and he is really settling in with the band on his second album with Seven Witches. He can easily hit the high notes, and is able to deliver the harsher, more aggressive vocals as well. Deadly Sins is another solid addition to the Seven Witches catalog.
