Arsonists Get All The Girls are a six-piece band from Santa Cruz, California. Their first album was released last year on a small label, and they were signed by Century Media for their new CD.
The Game Of Life is metalcore/deathcore, and Arsonists Get All The Girls have a unique perspective and a good sense of humor, which is showcased with song titles such as "Claiming Middle Age A Decade Early" and "Save The Castle Screw The Princess." In addition to the standard elements of the genre, this band adds in keyboards which gives a little different texture to the songs without being too instrusive.
The vocals are high pitched screams with some lower growls mixed in. Although the whole CD is a little gimmicky, there are enough memorable parts and good musicianship that keep it from being more than a novelty album worth a single listen.
