With only three albums under their belt, it's probably a little early for Atreyu to have a best of album. But they've been very successful and their last album, 2006's A Death Grip On Yesterday debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard album chart. They also performed on Ozzfest 2006. The band has now signed with a major record label, and their previous label is releasing this collection.
The Best Of draws pretty equally from Atreyu's three albums, and there's also a bonus DVD with several music videos included. Fans of the band won't find much new here, but it is a good way for those unfamiliar with Atreyu to get their best songs on one CD. The band plays metalcore, combining really catchy melodies and hooks with harder edged riffs and breakdowns. The vocals are a combination of singing and screaming.
