Battleroar - To Death And Beyond

Cruz Del Sur Music
With some bands, the name doesn't indicate much. With others, you know exactly what type of music to expect. With a name like Battleroar, you expect epic tales of war and dragons, and that's exactly what the Greek band delivers.

To Death And Beyond is Battleroar's third CD, and their best so far. It's epic power metal with plenty of melodic choruses, big hooks and potent guitar riffs and solos. Battleroar adds a few acoustic guitars and softer parts for diversity, but the majority of the music is loud and majestic.

Marco Concoreggi has the typical power metal style voice with good power and range, and also some similarities to Queensryche's Geoff Tate. He delivers the sometimes cheesy and over the top lyrics with conviction and gravitas. To Death And Beyond is prototypical power metal, but Battleroar delivers it with skill and energy.

(released April 2008 on Cruz Del Sur Music)
