On their third album the prog metal band Beyond Twilight has their third singer, Bjorn Janssen, and an interesting concept. They've divided the album into 43 separate tracks ranging from less than ten seconds to three minutes long.
It's an ambitious concept album that is really diverse. You'll hear elements of power, progressive, symphonic and traditional heavy metal along with classical influences. Keyboards and strings mix with heavy guitar and soaring vocals. The whole thing is a bit on the pretentious side with epic choruses and over the top keyboards that make some of the sections sound like a soundtrack to a horror movie, but there is enough heaviness and quality songwriting to make it interesting.
