The lyrics are pretty nasty as well, with song titles like "Mangled By Mongoloids," "The Old Lady Rots" and "To Kill A Co-worker." There's a slight southern undercurrent, but the death metal influence is much more pronounced. And most brutal of all are the vocals of Ben "Boss" Hogg from Beaten Back To Pure, who sounds like he gargled with razor blades and then chugged down a bottle of whiskey. It's a very distinctive and intense sound that he's able to unleash as low pitched growls and higher pitched howls.
Birds Of Prey have succeeded in melding the talents of their members into a sound that is distinctive and not a carbon copy of any of their other bands.
