Weapons Of Mass Distraction finds Blinded By Faith evolving in all areas. Musically they still play symphonic black metal, but have added more extreme and intense influences to the mix. Brutal riffs and blast beats are shaded and tempered with ominous keyboards. There is plenty of melody, but also plenty of destruction.
The vocals of Tommy Demers have also evolved and improved. He displays high pitched black metal rasps, lower pitched growls and surprisingly good melodic vocals. The lyrics are an angry examination of the U.S. foreign policy, especially in Iraq and the Middle East. The combination of the diverse vocals and the more extreme influences make this Blinded By Faith's best album so far.
