Bludgeon's sophomore album is a definite step forward. Their first release was recorded in their living room, and this one has much better production. It was also produced by Manowar's Joey DeMaio, who signed the band to his label.
Bludgeon's music lives up to their name. It's a bruising combination of thrash, death metal and hardcore. The vocals are mainly thrash style yells from Mark Duca delivered with a lot of anger and emotion. The songs have some good riffs, although they tend to run together and could use a little more diversity.
