In a word, yes. Even though Ice T and guitarist Ernie C are the only original band members left, the band's first studio album since 1997 still has something to say. That doesn't mean there aren't problems with the CD, though. The production quality is marginal, and the passion isn't as strong as it used to be, which is understandable since 3 band members died and it's the first recording with the new guys.
Ice T is the star of this show. The charismatic frontman spits out biting political lyrics on some songs and address relationships in others. The novelty has worn off the combination of metal and rap, but Body Count fans should enjoy the new incarnation of the band.
