Dark Funeral's third full-length was 2001's Diabolis Interium. They continued their high speed blast-beat intensive musical assault with another evil and brutal effort. Things slow down on the third track, "Goddess Of Sodomy," showing some versatility and adding diversity to the mix before launching back into hyper speed. On this CD Dark Funeral showcases improved songwriting, good musicianship, strong emotions and show a real progression.
In addition to the original CD, there is a second bonus disc which is the 2000 EP Teach Children To Worship Satan. It includes cover versions of King Diamond's "The Trial," Slayer's "Dead Skin Mask," Sodom's "Remember The Fallen" and Mayhem's "Pagan Fears." They really put their own Dark Funeral spin on the cover songs, and the one original track is excellent.
