Dark Suns has a unique musical approach. Ambient soundscapes form the basis for the songs, and the riffs and melodies come and go. It's a really dynamic CD, going from very quiet and mellow to intense and extreme. There elements of everything from doom metal to progressive metal to electronica. The vocals are diverse as well, ranging from subdued melodic singing to aggressive death metal growls.
The arrangments on Grave Human Genuine are very complex, and at times experimental and avant-garde. It can get a bit self-indulgent at times, but Dark Suns generally keeps it interesting. If you're a fan of groups like Porcupine Tree this one should be right up your alley.
