Dead Man In Reno - Dead Man In RenoAbstract Sounds
Dead Man In Reno sounds like a great title for an old western movie, and it's also the name of a metalcore band from Alabama. Their debut album has everything you'd expect from a metalcore CD, including monstrous breakdowns and double bass. It's also chock full of Scandinavian style guitar riffs and intense vocals.

Dead Man In Reno has a nice balance in their style. They're able to play in a very technical, mechanical style, but also have the ability to loosen it up and get into a groove. That helps this from becoming just another metalcore CD. Instead it shows some creativity and at least a little original thought. They vocals range from angry hardcore screaming to melodic singing. There are also some acoustic interludes that break up the intensity. If you're into metalcore, this is a CD worth checking out.
