DeadSoul Tribe's music is still progressive and diverse, and although they travel a slightly new path, it isn't a complete reinvention. The songs run the gamut from introspective ballads to complex, proggy epics to some of the heaviest songs DeadSoul Tribe has ever done.
Graves displays a wide variety of vocal styles on the album as well. From menancing whispers to soft melodic singing to traditional singing to angry yells, his vocals are always compelling. He also plays the flute on a few songs, giving them a retro Jethro Tull vibe.
A Lullaby For The Devil is an album with a lot of atmosphere, well-written songs and good musicianship. Its diversity and originality make it stand up especially well to repeated listens.
