Internal Revolution has a nice mix of galloping thrash riffs and screaming vocals contrasted with glossy hard rock and melodic vocals. It's by the numbers metalcore, but Diecast executes it very well. Vocalist Paul Stoddard has an excellent singing voice with good range. So much of the melodic singing in metalcore is really weak, but in this case it's very strong. Stoddard's harsh vocals are also good and are angry and intense without being irritating.
Diecast aren't breaking any new ground here, but if you're a fan of well done metalcore, this is a worthwhile CD.
