Disturbed - Indestructible

There's no disputing the success of Disturbed. Their first three CDs have all sold at least a million copies apiece. They are one of the most commercially successful metal bands. Of course with that sort of mainstream popularity comes a backlash from those who think Disturbed "isn't metal enough" or their sound is "too slick."

Indestructible won't change those people's minds, but it will please Disturbed's legions of fans. It's an album with songs that are guitar driven, melodic and extremely catchy. These guys really know how to write memorable hooks, and this CD is packed with them. However, there's a also more aggression this time around and some faster and darker songs to add some variety to the mainstream mid-tempo tracks.

Overall this is another solid release from Disturbed. In this era of rampant illegal downloading and decreased CD sales, it's hard to say if Indestructible will go platinum, but it's easier to say that it will be one of the best selling metal/hard rock CDs of 2008, and even easier yet to say Disturbed will continue to polarize metal fans.
