Dublin Death Patrol - DDP 4 LifeGod Fodder Records
Dublin Death Patrol got their start in the early 80s as a bunch of teenagers who played in various bands and were all friends. The members went on to be in some pretty impressive bands. The crew included Chuck Billy (Testament) and his brothers, Steve "Zetro" Souza (Exodus) and future members of groups like Tesla, Laaz Rockit, Trauma and many others. Back in 2005 there was a Laaz Rockit reunion in Holland, and Testament was also on the bill. Willy Lange and Chuck Billy talked about getting their old crew back together and recording some of the songs they had written over two decades earlier.

The result is DDP 4 Life, a collection of old songs, newly written songs and cover songs. Billy and Souza do the vocals together on almost all the songs, and the band is a rotating cast of musicians from the original DDP from back in the day along with some special guests. It's a really entertaining dose of old school thrash. The new songs are catchy and full of great riffs, and the cover songs are also excellent. DDP takes on Motorhead's "Iron Fist," Thin Lizzy's "Cold Sweat" and UFO's "Lights Out."

The highlight of the CD is the vocal teamwork of Chuck Billy and Zetro. It's great to hear two of the most notable thrash metal vocalists singing together and sounding like they are having a blast. DDP 4 Life is a CD that old school thrash fans do not want to miss.
