The songs on the CD are lushly arranged with strings, keyboards and even a 60 plus voice backing choir on some tracks. Crunchy guitar riffs give the symphonic songs a little bit of a metal edge. It is a diverse effort as well. Edenbridge alternates tempos well, making for a well paced and balanced album. There are also plenty of hooks that become catchier with each listen. The CD wraps up with a cover version of the Sheena Easton James Bond Theme "For Your Eyes Only," which is a faithful rendition of the original.
Sabine Edelsbacher has an angelic voice and is equally adept at singing soft ballads and fast, more metal songs. She sings with power, but also with a lot of emotion and vulnerability. If you're a fan of groups like Nightwish, this album will be right up your alley.
