Faith is crisply produced gothic metal that's dark and melodic. The songs are textured and layered with a lot of depth and intricacy. Some tracks are airy and upbeat, others slower with a more melancholy vibe. Sorychta's guitar slices through the atmospheric keyboards and strings.
I like Huth's vocals. She doesn't have a lot of power to her voice, but has a crystal clear tone and sings with a lot of expression. She has a traditional singing voice, not the operatic soprano of some gothic bands. There's a glut of female fronted gothic bands, and it's hard to tell one apart from the next. Eyes Of Eden will have a difficult time differentiating themselves from the masses, but Faith is a solid debut that gothic metal fans should enjoy.
