Aerolithe is Fall Of The Leafe's sixth album, and one that straddles the line between metal and hard rock. The songs are very melodic and mainstream with catchy choruses and big hooks. There are also metallic guitars, and the band also has some progressive and gothic influences as well.
Tuomas Tuominen is the band's vocalist, and though he uses a few harsh growls, he mainly sings melodically. His voice has a good range, and his style reminds me of a lot of '90s alternative rock singers who had a bit of an edge but still sang with a lot of versatilty and passion. Fall Of The Leafe may not be a household name to those of us in North America, but they have an interesting approach and write memorable songs.
