About.com Rating three out of Five

Feast Eternal - Prisons Of FleshOpen Grave Records
Feast Eternal released one album back in 2000 before breaking up. Last year two of the three original members of the Christian death metal band decided to reunite. In anticipation of a new album later this year, the band's debut has been remastered and re-released with a couple of new songs.

Prisons Of Flesh is standard death metal music with a different lyrical point of view. Although the music is savage and aggressive, their message is much more uplifting than the usual album of this genre. The songs have melody and groove in addition to the brutal death metal.

Productionwise the drums seem a little muffled and buried in the mix and don't have the machine gun pop you hear on a lot of death metal albums. The two new tracks have better production and the drum sound is closer to what it should be. Those two new songs are excellent, which bodes well for Feast Eternal's upcoming album.
