Halford recently formed his own label, Metal God Entertainment. K5: The War Of Words Demos was originally released digitally last year, and is now available in CD form. It includes demo versions of the original songs along with 5 new tracks. Those tracks were recorded along with the original songs, but never made it to the War Of Words album.
Fight's sound was a little edgier and darker than Judas Priest, but still had plenty of melody. The songs on the CD were rehearsal recordings that were originally meant to be reference tracks the band could go back to as they continued the recording process. The songs have similar arrangements to the finished products that ended up on the album, but have a looser and rawer feel. The production of course is also a lot more basic.
Even if you have the original album, K5: The War Of Words Demos is still worth getting because of the newly included songs, plus it's always interesting to hear how songs change from demos to the album release.
