Fleshgore - Killing AbsorptionThis Dark Reign Recordings
After the positive response to their CD May God Strike Me Dead a few months ago, Fleshgore's debut has been re-released. It was originally released in 2003 and has a different vocalist than the current incarnation of the band.

Even with a different vocalist, the Ukrainian band's sound is pretty much the same now as it was then. It's a nonstop barrage of crushing death metal with blast beats and raw guitars. The vocals are the classic cookie monster style with black metal rasps added for some variety. The major difference is the production. The quality on this one, as you'd expect from a CD that was originally self-released, isn't as good as their new stuff. It's a lot muddier sounding, but doesn't take away from the fact that Fleshgore is one extreme, brutal band.
