Delenda isn't a girl's name, it is a Latin term meaning "to destroy everything." The thing that From A Second Story Window destroys the most on their sophomore album is preconceived ideas about their sound.
The most prevalent genre on the album is technical metalcore, but there are a whole lot of other things going on as well. In addition to the breakdowns and double bass, From A Second Story Window also utilizes elements of death metal and even black metal. They have the ability to be completely aggressive and play songs at breakneck speed and maximum intensity, but also show their softer side with melodic singing and piano based songs. The 3 minute intro to the album is a little long, but after that it is a diverse and well-rounded CD that at times is extreme and other times mainstream.
