As you'd expect from this lineup, this is a CD that's dirty, grimy, sludgy and doomy. The songs are thick and abrasive, with downtuned guitars that sometimes shred, sometimes obliterate. There's a good variety of tempos from fast and sleazy to glacial and doomy. No matter what the tempo, Hail Hornet always keeps the groove going strong.
Medlin's vocals are buried pretty deep in the mix, and his raspy yells are the perfect contrast to this style of music. Whether you like doom, swamp rock, sludge or stoner, you'll find plenty here to whet your appetite.
