The Handshake Murders - Usurper

The Handshake Murders - UsurperGoodfellow Records
The Handshake Murders are brutal to the 'core, and in this case that is metalcore and mathcore. The band combines standard metalcore breakdowns with complex and unusual riffs aka Meshuggah. The drums are turned way up in the mix and are cripplingly heavy. There are also several creative guitar riffs.

The vocals on Usurper are mostly hardcore screams along with some lower pitched death metal style growls. They don't have a whole lot of variety and are headache inducing at times. The tempos are also pretty similar from track to track, which gets to be monotonous. It's decent metalcore/mathcore, but could use a little more diversity.
