Hatesphere - The Sickness Within

Hatesphere - The Sickness WithinSPV Records
On their latest album the Danish band Hatesphere unleashes a barrage of old school thrash metal with death metal influences. It's brutal, it's fast, and also has some excellent melodies.

Galloping thrash riffs and pounding double bass give way to slower, death metal style guitar and then kick back in at warp speed. Jacob Bredahl's vocals are angry and intense and generally a hardcore style scream, although deeper death metal growls surface from time to time.

The Danish metal scene is really popular right now, and one of the reasons is they have some really good producers along with talented bands. Tue Madsen is one of those producers, and he mixed and mastered The Sickness Within. He did a great job capturing both Hatesphere's melody and their brutality.
