HB is a Finnish band whose first two albums were in their native language. For their third CD, they've decided to switch to English lyrics.
Frozen Inside is symphonic and gothic metal with a Christian message. The songs are layered with atmospheric keyboards and thick guitars. There are also plenty of orchestral parts with strings and choirs. HB's style is similar to groups like Within Temptation and Nightwish.
Johanna Aaltonen has a pure and emotional voice. It's not operatic, and has a lot of texture and a very clear tone. There are a few male harsh vocals sprinkled throughout the CD, and I think increasing those would help add a little more edge. Frozen Inside is a sophisticated CD with an uplifting message that will appeal to fans of symphonic and Christian metal.
