Whenever I see the word "screamo" associated with a band, I don't have very high expectations. It's not my favorite genre, and there tends to be a lot of sound-alikes and very generic interchangable groups. I was pleasantly surprised by Here I Come Falling. The CD has the typical elements of screamo and metalcore, but they also add a few different twists.
Oh Grave, Where Is Thy Victory has a lot of melody, and there are keyboards and electronics that add depth and texture to the band's sound. There are some mellow moments along with the aggressive, pummeling guitars which also add some much needed diversity. The vocals are a combination of screaming and melodic singing. While not groundbreaking, Here I Come Falling shows some originality which should appeal to screamo fans.
