Infected Malignity are a Japanese band signed to a Canadian label. Their second release and first for Galy Records is the EP Re:bel.
Infected Malignity's sound has evolved from their full-length debut. They've gone from a more traditional death metal style to a progressive and technical death metal/deathcore sound. The songs are dense and complex with brutal riffs mixed with more progressive structures.
There are some really catchy songs on Re:bel that show excellent songwriting skills. The 6 songs on the EP are rock solid, and it will be interesting to hear if they are able to sustain that momentum over an entire full-length CD.
