Blade Of Triumph travels a similar road. It's polished power metal with big hooks and epic melodies. My main criticism of Revenge is that the songs were fairly generic and not very memorable. There is still some of that here, but Iron Fire has improved their diversity and there are more memorable songs on this album. "Legend Of The Magic Sword" is a ballad that shows a different side of the band and is one of the best songs on the album.
I like Martin Steene's voice. He has plenty of power and range and there are also some nice vocal harmonies. The lyrics tend to be over the top and a little cheesy, but that's typical for this genre. Producer Fredrik Nordström (At The Gates, In Flames, Soilwork) does a good job, and his production is crisp and clear.
