Iron Maiden - Somewhere Back In Time

Universal Music
Iron Maiden is one of the best metal bands of all time, and the '80s were their heydey. In conjunction with their latest tour, Somewhere Back In Time is a collection of Maiden's greatest songs of the '80s. The band was very prolific in that era and released eight albums in the decade: Iron Maiden (1980), Killers (1981), The Number Of The Beast (1982), Piece Of Mind (1983), Powerslave (1984), Live After Death (1985), Somewhere In Time (1986) and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son (1988).

There have already been a ton of Iron Maiden compilation and live CDs over the years, but it's nice to have just the '80s stuff in one package. Some of the songs featured on Somewhere Back In Time include "Aces High," "The Trooper," "The Number Of The Beast" and "Run To The Hills." The compilation takes songs from the studio albums and there are several live tracks taken from Live After Death.

Serious Iron Maiden fans already have all of these songs, but if you're new to the band or want all their '80s hits on one CD, you'll definitely want to pick up Somewhere Back In Time.

(released May 13, 2008 on Universal Music)
