Scotland isn't a country known for heavy metal bands, but Man Must Die is out to change that. The quartet hails from Glasgow, and this their second album, and first for Relapse Records.
The Human Condition is a death metal CD with a few different influences. You'll hear some Scandinavian style melodic death along with more technical, modern death and some old fashioned bludgeoning and extreme death metal. There are thrash influences as well.
Man Must Die's songwriting is solid, but they need something to make them stand out a little more. Their riffs are decent and their musicianship perfectly fine, but the songs need to be catchier and more memorable if they want differentiate themselves from the death metal masses.
