On their second album Mardo brings a lot of different influences to the table. You'll hear some Sunset Strip style sleaze, some Southern fried rock, some British glam and a lot of fun. The songs are upbeat and swaggering with a party attitude, but are also very diverse.
Every good party album needs a power ballad for the slow dances, and there are a couple of those, too. There's also a rock remake of the classic R&B song "Papa Was A Rolling Stone." The production and musicianship are modern and polished, but there's a definite retro vibe. It's more hard rock or arena rock than metal, but there are plenty of loud guitars and good times.
