Marduk - Opus NocturneRegain Records
Originally released in 1994, this is a re-release of Marduk's third album. The band's first four albums have been remastered and re-released with bonus material. This album includes four extra songs that are studio rehearsal versions.

There were more lineup changes for this album. Joakim "Grave" Göthberg continued to do vocals, but he relinquished drum duties to Fredrik Andersson. Magnus "Devo" Andersson also left the band.

Opus Nocturne saw Marduk upping the extremity and blasphemy. The songs were faster and more intense than their first two albums, although they showed versatility with songs that were slower and groove oriented with a lot of melodic riffs.

This album has a lot of variety, and this particular lineup was a really strong one. For me it's pretty equal to Those Of The Unlight. They are different soundwise, but as far as execution and staying power, they both get a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
