Megadeth - Anthology: Set The World Afire

As with most bands that have been around for over two decades, there have been several Megadeth compilations over the years. Just last year the five disc box set Warchest was released. The archives are being delved into again.

Anthology: Set The World Afire is a 2 disc compilation released by Capitol Records. The songs in the collection are taken from Megadeth's 1985 debut Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good through 2000's Capitol Punishment: The Megadeth Years.

Megadeth's major hits are included, such as "Peace Sells," "Wake Up Dead," "Hangar 18" and "A Tout Le Monde." There are also a couple of demos from 1992's Countdown To Extinction along with two live songs recorded in 1992.

There isn't really much here for hardcore Megadeth fans who already own all the band's CDs, unless you're a completist and want the previously unreleased tracks. Anthology: Set The World Afire is a nice collection for casual fans or those wanting to delve into Megadeth's catalog. It collects songs from the strongest era of the band.
