To celebrate their 30th anniversary in June 2005, Motorhead played a show at the legendary Hammersmith Odeon in London. The result is this 2 CD collection of 23 songs. Motorhead loves live releases; between video, DVD and CD this is at least their 10th live effort.
Better Motorhead Than Dead: Live At Hammersmith is Motorhead at their raucous best, tearing through their extensive catalog with a raw energy greater than bands a third their age. Lemmy and company are still as vital and relevant as ever.
The songs on this double CD collection range from Motorhead's trademark hits like "Ace Of Spades and "Inferno," all the way to songs from 2005's Inferno. A few classics like "Eat The Rich" are omitted, but overall it is a good representation of an outstanding and still underrated band.
