The sophomore full-length from Mouth Of The Architect is only 6 songs, but it clocks in at over an hour. The epic compositons range from 7 to 15 minutes long and comparisons can be drawn to groups like Neurosis, Pelican and Isis. The songs are slow paced with long instrumental sections punctuated by screaming vocals and sludgy guitars.
Mouth Of The Architect also have some progressive influences that are evident on this album. And it's those melodic and creative flourishes that make the songs much more engaging and able to sustain for their entire length instead of becoming droning and boring. Another nice touch are the guest vocals of Mastodon's Brent Hinds on one of the tracks.
