Punishment In Capitals was recorded back in 2002 in London and was released overseas, but it is now available in the U.S. for the first time. The band's lineup for this CD was vocalist Barney Greenway, guitarists Mitch Harris and the late Jesse Pintado, bassist Shane Embry and drummer Danny Herrera. The sound quality is good and captures the raw fury of Napalm Death's live shows. The thing that really stands out is Herrera's drumming. He plays at lightning speed with crushing precision and keeps the band on the rails.
The songs selection is a good representation of Napalm Death's long career with a mix of both old and new songs. They also do a few covers, including one by the Dead Kennedys and Death's "Back From The Dead." Punishment Of The Capitals was also released on DVD, and is a worthy addition to any Napalm Death fan's collection.
