October File - Holy Armour From The Jaws Of God

Candlelight Records
The British band October File has released a few EPs and one full-length, but this album is their first to have wide North American release. It was produced by and features a guest appearance from Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke.

Holy Armour From The Jaws Of God is angry, metal infused hardcore. The songs are powerful and confrontational calls to action. Gritty guitar riffs and really good bass work add melody and groove to the politically charged lyrics. October File is obviously influenced by groups like Killing Joke and Ministry.

The vocals are a combination of angry yells and raspy singing. They fit perfectly with October File's style and message. Holy Armour From The Jaws Of God will make you bang your head and enjoy the music, but will also make you think, which is a nice combination.
