Overkill - Immortalis

Bodog Music
Overkill has been around since 1980 and have released 15 studio albums. The New Jersey thrash band never reached the elite level of bands like Metallica or Megadeth, but they have had a really solid career and have amassed a large and loyal fan base.

They've had a lot of lineup changes over the years, but founding members D.D. Verni (bass) and Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth are still going strong. Immortalis is their latest, and is vintage Overkill. It's old school thrash, with songs galloping along at a fast and intense pace with plenty of ripping riffs and shredding solos.

Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth has always had a very distinctive voice that set Overkill apart. He's singing in a lower pitch these days, but his leather lungs are still able to hit those high notes when he needs to. For old school thrash fans, you can't go wrong with Overkill, and Immortalis is no exception.
